This tour combines walking, swimming, and traveling by boat while exploring the coastal wetlands of Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. This is an ecological tour for people interested in experiencing and learning about tropical ecosystems, birds and plants, as well as Mayan culture and history. The tour does not include observation of large tropical animals.
On the tour you will explore diverse ecosystems, plants and birds at Capechen and Boca Paila lagoon accompanied by an experienced professional guide. You will travel through a natural fresh water canal which used by the ancient Mayans as a trade route and then visit the Mayan temple Xlapac. You will float back to the boat carried along by the current. There will be fruit snacks available on the boat. Next, the adventure will take us by boat to the estuary at Boca Paila zone, where the lagoon connects to the sea; this is the halfway stop to Punta Allen and enjoy the view from our roof top of the surrounding landscape.
